Artist's Description
Morro Rock from North Point. I believe this very high tide was caused by a small tsunami. I had been shooting from the sand when a very big wave sent me to higher ground. Very impressive.
About Lars Mikkelsen
Born in Denmark in 1948. After years of traveling I came to America in time for the Bicentennial in 1976. The first ten years in Hawaii, before settling here. My photography centers on my love for the natural world and the beauty of The Central Coast. We have so many wonderful hiking trails, small delightful towns and villages, secret beaches and remote hills. In winter the area will be richly green, as summer takes over our beloved hills turn to gold. It has been a great joy to be able to share my love of these places with others through photography.

I like the dramatic waves as they crash against the rock. A lovely photo!
Lars Mikkelsen replied:
thank you so much. I did not know it at the time, but the small tsunami caused the tide to be extreme and the waves more dramatic.
